BenQ A3 and BenQ F3 quad-core Android smartphones launched

BenQ has marked its re-entry into the smartphone segment with two new quad-core powered smartphones, the BenQ A3 and BenQ F3. Both the smartphones are now available in Taiwan, where the BenQ A3 is available at 7990 Taiwanese Dollars (Rs. 16,850 approximately), while the BenQ F3 is available at 5,990 Taiwanese Dollars (Rs. 12,600 approximately). However, there is no word on BenQ A3 and BenQ F3's global availability.

The BenQ A3 runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. The smartphone features a 4.5-inch qHD (540x960) IPS display. BenQ A3 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225Q quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, alongside 1GB of RAM. It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor and LED flash, and also houses a 2-megapixel front camera.

The smartphone comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 32GB with microSD card. The BenQ A3 packs a 2000mAh battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, DLNA, Micro-USB and 3G. The smartphone comes with dimensions 133.9x66x9.9mm and weighs 135 grams. The smartphone features a host of sensors that include gravity sensor, electronic compass, GPS, ambient light sensor and also includes FM radio.
