As Cyber Monday Destroys Records, Apple Proves More Lucrative Than Android

Cyber Monday 2013 was the biggest online shopping day in history, beating last year’s sales mark by 20.6% and putting the finishing touches on a blockbuster weekend for e-commerce.
According to data collected by IBM IBM -0.79% Digital Analytics Benchmark, the average order value this Cyber Monday was $128.77, actually down 1% from 2012. But the volume of shoppers was way up, led by a surge on mobile devices. Mobile sales on accounted for over 17% of the total, a 55.4% increase from last year.
