How to switch from iPhone to Android: A guide by Google’s Eric Schimdt

Google’s executive chairman Eric Schmidt has written a 900-word guide on his Google Plus page telling users how to switch from iPhone to Android. The ‘guide’ was first spotted by The Verge.

In his guide, Schmidt talks about how ‘many’ of his friends are giving up their iPhones for Android smartphone. He also says that the S4, Motorola and Nexus 5 are excellent christmas presents to give to an iPhone users.

His guide touches upon everything from setting up an Android phone to importing contacts, messages from iPhone to the Android devices. In the end he also writes that for browsing, users should turn to Google Chrome and not Safari as Chrome is safer and free. (Note Safari is available for a free download on Windows as well so it’s not clear why he’s so proud of the free aspect for Chrome. )
